i haven't read his new book, but i've read bits of it that were serialised in a newspaper.. attenborough is a fascinating man and has a lot of interesting things to say.. his new book is about the environment and how to save it, basically.. he wants us to drastically cut down our meat intake and eat more fruit and veg.

Strange, but apparently true. The really weird thing is, billions of these trees are sprouting up in areas that were previously too cold for them to flourish. But that can’t be because the planet is warming up, because we all know that global warming is an another Attenborough myth.

There was an item on the news last night about transgenders demanding the right to join and play in female rugby teams. Whatever next? I think they should have their balls chopped off. Mind you, I can see the attraction of playing rugby against women.

While I accept the ‘fact’ that CO2 emissions are a major contributor to global warming, I wonder why activists target fossil fuelled transportation as the prime culprit. I haven’t done any research to fact check this (and I can’t be bothered to anyway), but on the news last night, in a item on UK farming following Brexit, it claimed that the world’s beef/diary/pig/sheep farms (including attendant deforestation) produce many times more CO2 emissions than all the cars, buses, trains, planes and factories put together. It’s a rhetorical question, but why don’t they campaign for a ban on meat sales? It would have a bigger impact.

There is nothing in what preceded his statements that would indicate that in his reference to disinfectant and injection, he meant injecting light. If he did, why didn't he say so the next day instead of appealing to "being sarcastic". It's the same old story, anything not complimentary to Trump is labelled fake news, anyone mentioning his gaffs is labelled mentally ill (TDS).

What absolute bollocks. Even Trump himself didn’t claim he was referring to light with his ‘injecting disinfectant’ suggestion – the next day he claimed he was being sarcastic to the journalists. You initially put this down to the lying media, but now it appears you have found a new way to interpret Trump’s ridiculous suggestion. Here’s the transcript for anyone who’s interested – is it ‘clear’ to you that he was talking about injecting a device that disinfected by using light?
“Supposing we hit the body, with a tremendous er, whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light. And I think you said that hasn't been checked, but you're gonna test it?
